Q. Is premium fast track training right for me?

A. If you answer yes to the majority of following then fast track is a good choice:-

Q. What if fail?

A. You will be given additional free training, within reason, to support you though to a pass.

Q. Who is accrediting?

Initially we are starting with ABT Association of Beauty Therapists (www.abtinsurance.co.uk) but we will extend to include other major awarding bodies over the next year Your certificate can be replaced to include the additional organisational logos if you require.

Q. Who is providing insurance?

A. Insurance is through ABT and is backed by AXA, one of the biggest insurance groups.

Q. Can I charge as a student?

A. No, but you may wish to ask your "models" and case study volunteers for a voluntary £5.00 donation to cover the cost of oils.

Q. How much can I charge for treatments once qualified?

A. Between £30 and £60 per hour depending on location.

Q. What if I need help with my home study?

A. You will have access to advice by telephone and email.

Q. I really want to do this training but I cannot get child care cover?

A. There is a children’s nursery only 200 metres from the training centre, they cater for children from 3 months. Subject to availability they may be able to help.

Q. My partner wants to come too?

A. On many courses it will be possible to cater for male students. However if your partner just wants to chill out, Suffolk is a lovely part of the country and there is lots to see and do visit www.suffolktouristguide.com for further information.

Q. What help will you give me to start my business?

A. Relevant, practical sales and marketing advise and tuition will be included within the syllabus and on graduation your name, contact details and website (if you have one) will be promoted on both the academy website (www.academyofhealthandbeauty.co.uk) and Potions & Possibilities website (www.potions.co.uk), which have wide exposure.

Q. What do I wear?

A. Uniform tops will be provided for your training but you will need to wear dark trousers (not jeans). Indoor shoes only (not flip flops) and ensure they are soft soled. You will also need your hair tied back if appropriate as well as short nails and minimal jewellery.

Q. What will I bring?

A. Please bring writing material with you and ensure you have something to keep you warm for when you are not doing practical activities.

Q. What do I do about lunch?

A. There is a mobile caterer that comes daily to the salon (basic fare) and we are also situated within driving distance to Tesco’s and Woodbridge town centre.

Q. Where can I stay if I am travelling from a distance?

A. We are in a lovely rural location and there is plenty of places locally to stay, here are a few examples but it may be advisable to look on the web to find something that suits your particular taste.

A. There is a local bus service available and Woodbridge has a rail link into the town centre.
