On this course, you will learn all the practical skills required to operate a beauty therapy business or work in a modern salon. The training environment is salon based and from day one you will have “hands on” practice and training on each other and models. Practical training is backed up by theory presented in a modern “easy to learn” format with tailored support for individual students. Business awareness, marketing and salon protocol will be included.

Course Duration:

4 days in classroom training
Private home based study (planned 20 hours but an individual assessment and estimate will be given).
6 case studies to be completed and assessed within 16 weeks.

Prerequisites:

Suitable for motivated individuals (career change, returnees, retirees, hairdressers or fitness professionals) who require a fast track premium approach to professional training and qualification. This popular discipline involves the effective massage on the scalp, face, neck and shoulders working holistically to relieve stress and physical conditions such as headaches, insomnia and aches and pains. It is a mainstream complementary therapy and there is a demand from individuals with insomnia, stress related conditions including exam stress. Elements of Indian head massage are a valuable skill addition within any premium hair salon.

Massage In Pregency
£45 (per couple deposit £25)

A practical hands-on workshop session learning the basic skills to give an effective massage (to a partner/friend or family member) during pregnancy and the early stages of labour. The sessions are designed to be comfortable, informal and man friendly and will not involve any excessive or uncomfortable undress.

Prerequisites: Suitable for anyone wishing to massage someone who is or who is considering pregnancy. Also suitable as a rewarding leisure interest.

Must come with a non paying person on whom to practice the techniques (does not need to be pregnant).

To maintain modesty please could models wear a full cup bra, elasticised trousers/skirt and a large loose preferably stretchy top. If hair is long please wear it off the neck and no jewellery.
